Peanut Butter Brownies

Yesterday I was looking in one of my mom's cookbooks and I found this brownie recipe. I baked them and they were absolutely amazing! They don't take long to make and they taste delicious! Hope you enjoy...

( Makes 24 )
Ingredients
225g crunchy peanut butter
225g dark chocolate broken into squares
150g light muscovado sugar
3 large free range eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
4 tbsp almond or normal milk
100g plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180oC and line a square baking tin with parchment paper.

2. Place the peanut butter and broken up chocolate( if you want to make the brownies a bit sweeter use milk chocolate instead of dark) in a heatproof bowl or a bain marie set over a pan of barely simmering water, making sure the bottom of the bowl doesn't touch the water. Stir constantly until melted and smooth.

3. With a hand-held or electric mixer, whisk the sugar and eggs together for 2-3 minutes, until pale and fluffy. Slowly pour the melted chocolate and peanut butter, then add the vanilla extract and milk and continue to whisk until thickened.

4. Sift the flour and baking powder into a separate bowl and then gently fold it into the egg and chocolate  mixture. Using a spatula, turn the mixture into the prepared tin and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the top is firm and the brownie has come away slightly from the sides of the tin.

5. When the brownie is cooked leave it to cool and cut it into slices. Then sit back, relax and enjoy!

Easy and Quick Hairstyles

In this post I'm going to show a number of different simple hairstyles that I wear on a daily basis. These hairstyles do take a bit of practice but once you get the hang of them they will become really easy!
~ French Braids ~
A french braid is looks really complicated but is actually easy once you get the hang of it. To start the braid you divide the top section of your hair into three sections and begin a normal braid. After this basic braid you start to add more hair to each section to form a french braid. When there is no more hair left to add in you continue with a normal plait and tie it off.  I would recommend looking videos up on YouTube so you can see exactly how you do it! I love this hairstyle because it keeps all the hair of your face while looking amazing too!

 ~ Side Dutch Braids ~
Side dutch braids are two plaits on either side of your head but instead of starting at the nape of your neck they start at the top of your head. The only difference between french and dutch braids is that with french braids you braid over but with dutch braids you go under to give a more 3-d effect. To start the dutch braid you part your hair down the middle into two sections and tie one section up to separate it. You then go to the other side and begin to braid three strands at the front of your head twice(going under instead of over). Start to add in more hair into each section. When there is no hair left to add in you continue to do a normal plait and tie it off with a hair tie. Do these steps on the section of hair on the other side of your head, I love this hairstyle and it is becoming really popular at the moment.

~ Half-Up Do~
The half-up do is probably the most simple hairstyle in this blog post. You start by dividing the top or crown section of your hair from the rest of your hair. You then pull the top section of your hair into a ponytail and fasten it with a hair tie. That is the basic hairstyle but you can really change it however you like. You could add a bow or straighten or curl the hair that is left down. This hairstyle is easy and quick and doesn't take much practice.

I hope you have enjoyed reading this blog post. And even though some of these hairstyles look complicated, after some practice they will become much easier!

Homemade Pizza's

Pizza is definitely one of my favourite foods! This homemade pizza recipe is really fun to make and also delicious to eat!!

Ingredients

For the dough...
                                      350g strong white plain flour
7g sachet easy-blend yeast
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
225ml warm water

For the Sauce...
200g passata
1 clove of garlic,crushed
1 tsp dried oregano

Toppings...
(your choice)
Ham
Grated Cheese
Mozzarella
Pepperoni
Cherry Tomatoes
Sweetcorn
Chorizo

Recipe

   1. For the dough I used a Neven Maguire recipe because I think it's easy to make and tastes delicious! Place the flour, yeast and salt in a food processor fitted with a dough attachment (or a bowl and wooden spoon if you don't have a processor). Mix the oil and warm water in a jug. With the food processor running slowly pour the oil mixture through the feeder tube and mix until you have a soft stretchy dough. Knead for 5 minutes in the machine, or knead by hand for 10 minutes.

 2. Transfer the dough to a lightly oiled bowl, rub the top with a little more oil and cover with a clean, damp tea towel. Set aside at room temperature for 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.

3. Preheat the oven to 220oC. Punch the dough down with a clenched fist. Remove the dough from the bowl and knead for  a couple of minutes until smooth, then cut in half and roll          each half out onto a lightly floured surface to 25cm in a circle   or rectangle shape.

4. For the sauce put all the ingredients into a pot and gently simmer until the garlic is cooked.

 5. Now its time to make your pizza! Spread your sauce onto your pizza base leaving about a 1cm border around the edge. This part is really up to you! Choose whatever toppings you would like( I have given some suggestions in the ingredients section at the top) and decorate your pizza. Then put your pizza in the oven to cook for 10-12 minutes.

6. Now cut your pizza into slices and enjoy!
